Yes, and these guys (well, lady: the proprietor) can and do send stuff back to Omega if required.

I understand a price difference of a couple hundred dollars or pounds etc. isn't worth it and just buy from an AD. However, what if I'm thinking about a DSotM / GSotM and the difference is in the thousands? Even a Seamaster 300 these days is more than US$2000 cheaper buying from an online dealer vs. AD. I doubt I'd be able to negotiate 30-40% off from an AD... especially on 5th Ave!

Buy it and get it over with. Then get back to us and tell us how happy you are with it. If we don't hear from you again, suspicions confirmed!

This coming from someone who thinks the buyers name is put on the the warranty card by the dealer selling the watch.::facepalm1::

So here goes: from iconicwatches.co.uk a Seamaster PO 45.5mm. A saving of a whole one thousand of your English pounds, and this is what I got. New watch. Box. International warranty. Job is a good one, I reckon.

Original dealer is an AD (checked through omegawatches.it, so can't see any cause for doubt). Well happy with the purchase. I can't stop looking at it!

Very nice watch enjoy
This was my second best before I decided on the speedy 9300. By the way this PO is available with a newer movement 8605 not exactly sure what the differences are though

8605 is the GMT movement. I did consider this (as getting more use out of this than the divers function), but I love the Professional label which the GMT loses.

Great watch, wear it and enjoy it. I got mine in May 2015 and have only had to reset the time twice due to not wearing it

Tell yourself whatever you want to make yourself comfortable, and believe whatever you want, but the absolute fact is that it's still possible you get a watch that isn't new. If a few hundred dollars is more important to you than peace of mind, go for it. "Authentic" can still be used. And I guarantee the price you're paying is more than what the average used watch is selling for.

It amazes me how people can convince themselves of anything because their greed for the deal outweighs common sense.

Good luck!

Exactly. They search for a deal, not a watch. Upscale watches were designed to be owned and worn by a single owner for decades. Then along comes the internet watch community, and a staggering number of "preowned" concerns. Now they're basically baseball cards. If you really want the watch and can afford it, buy from an AD. If you can't afford it, don't buy it on the cheap. Save up until you can.

As Oprah says: "Doubt means don't. Don't do it. Don't move forward."
