New member in need of help with an Electric Constellation

Greetings all,

I’m a new member seeking help with an Electronic Constellation. The watch is advertised as not running and I was wondering if anyone knew of any common problems and roughly how much it might cost to repair. I’m pretty confident that the dial is original, but I can’t tell if the case has been polished. I also can’t tell if the bracelet is original, but I’ve asked the seller. I’ve also asked for a picture of the clasp and I’ll share it when they respond.

Welcome to the forum.
Firstly please post photos and not link, as it will be easier for others to help you.

The dial is original and the case is still sharp.
As to your question, I really can't tell you the answer.
It could something as simple as just a battery change and the watch will be running again....or more serious issue underneath the movement. Another common problem with the watch is the date wheel.

Us$ 300? For not working? Look for a working one. Not worth the effort. For $ 150 you can take the gamble and have the value in case parts. I these pictures I can not see the 2. Feeler contact on the wheel. Could be the pics., But without this you need over $ 250 to find a repairer for these mvmts. Start reading on the Net. Then you will know.....

Hi ! Indeed, a full service would be in the region of 300.€ .. and you have to find a watchmaker that is competent with this type of movement .. not that easy !

Did you ever experienced a humming watch? Maybe you should try first befor buying one of those `cause some people don`t like it.
Also there`s a well known issue with the date wheel it`s factory made of plastic and the teeth break very easy after all of those years.
Other points of possible defects are mentioned.

Most important is to find a real expert for this movements repairs can tend to be expensive.
