Hello! I've been lurking here on and off for awhile, but only recently registered when a watch I was hunting for turned up available on this forum. I thought I'd now take the time to introduce myself.

Vintage Seiko was my gateway into this hobby about 10 years ago when my dad gave me his old daily wear watch, a Seiko 6139-6005 from 1975. He was a machinist by trade, and as such the watch took a beating. I sourced an OEM crystal for it and had it serviced, and that started me down a rabbit hole!

I mostly dabbled in vintage Seiko for a long time but have recently started to diversify with watches such as an Enicar Sherpa Jet MK1, Rolex Explorer 124270, and an IWC Mark XII. I mostly have a preference for vintage / neo-vintage watches as I find patina to be somewhat satisfying for some reason.

Some of Omega's on my hunt list are a Seamaster 166.020, Ranchero 2990, Railmaster 2914, and a Dirty Dozen...

Here are a some watches currently in my collection. Please feel free to add me on my IG @mostlywabisabi https://www.instagram.com/mostlywabisabi/

Thanks!

Nice watch to receive from your father. Any of these a daily wearer for you, or do you tend to cycle through?

Thanks! Right now the Rolex Explorer and IWC Mark XII are on my wrist most of the time as my daily wear watches. I do wear the Enicar and Seiko's frequently too. 😀

Hi, I'm from Sweden and totally new here. In Sweden we have a domestic forum (Klocksnack) where I usually are. The thing is I got a Railmaster 2914-1 from 1957 and I'm trying to find out where to sell it.

OF certainly isn't the worst place to sell an Omega - but you'll need 200 meaningful posts to get selling privileges here.
