Congratulations, great that you are getting back into work. What's the story of the sapphire- I don't remember reading about it here?
I posted it on a thread somewhere someone bought a cheap watch from a car boot or fair but here it is

Sorry to hear that bags. There is probably a better job out there for you. Budgets open up at the beginning of the year so hang in there.

Well no matter how you cut it that is a bummer. Whatever the intricacies are you were happy you had employment now you don’t. I remember acing a few interviews, one went as far as telling me “they would love to have me on board” then hearing nothing. I guess love is fickle. It’s a bummer and I am sorry to hear that happened.

Hey, how's it going? I have to say, that 50p Sapphire you sold for £3600 at auction is mind-blowing! Talk about a lucky find! It just goes to show that you never know what treasures can come your way. By the way, I'm new here, so it's great to connect with you. High demand increases the salaries, for sure. When there's a scarcity of certain skills or expertise, employers are willing to pay more to attract the right talent. So, it's a good time to be entering the job market.

I’m a big fan of random “old thread bumping”. Keep it coming. The older the better

And the more personal the thread the better. I don’t know how the bots pick them. Also curious, they joined on Friday, last seen on Friday (never to be seen again), yet posted today. How does that work?

So are you saying that Marcel Hancock isn’t a real person? 😁 Or perhaps a real person with a friend selling some endlinks

Probably a Nigerian Prince who not only has end links but any and all obscure watch related items you could hope to buy. Just reach out to their friend [email protected] and all of your watch shopping dreams will be answered. Who knows, maybe they even owned a Nigerian Airline once upon a time...

Note: Yes, I stole the email joke from @Davidt from the other wtb scam thread. Sharing is caring.

It's been a challenging year for many, and it's so heartening to hear that things are finally looking up for you. Landing a job offer after nearly a year of being out of work is a big win. The fact that you had a Teams interview shows how the world has adapted during these times. It's pretty novel, isn't it? And meeting up with the boss in person must have been exciting. Their offer to start on the 30th of November is a great way to kick off the next chapter. And wow, that £3600 from selling a 50p Sapphire you got from a car boot sale is just amazing! Sometimes, unexpected windfalls like that can make all the difference. If you ever find yourself in the job market again, Sarkari Job is a great resource with plenty of listings. They might have your next big opportunity.
