I'm guessing that not a lot of you guys are into hamilton,
but I've seen countless comments on how they would love a murph in 38mm, not 42mm.

Well, long after all the hype, they are releasing one, in a few days.
An image from a Korean online shopping mall was leaked
it's one of the largest dept. store chains in Korea, so there is basically no chance of it being faked.

Not seen this being discussed widely, so thought I might as well share this here!

excited to see brands actually listening to the "enthusiasts"

the above is the actual link to the page
official images show difference in strap scale patterns compared to the previous 42mm version
also, crown logo differs with vintage H logo on the 38mm version.

If they do offer this in 38mm, I may finally get one. I’ve been tempted by the 42mm version several times, but I felt the dial was just too big and overwhelmed the watch. 38mm will be a perfect size.

thanks for the info.

i think the website wasnt supposed to be opened to the public.
Most interesting release would have to be the 38mm Murph, me thinks.

Good news, always liked the watch but 42 is humongous for me in this style of watch

Stick around the forum and you’ll find there are a lot of Hamilton fans here, for both the original company and the new offerings.

No fans of that uninspired overpriced pocket watch reissue in that ad though.

Indeed, unlike your fascinating example, that release seems like a definate miss

I just wish it didn’t say “khaki“ on the dial. Something about that kinda bugs me…

Maybe because your inner Rhode Islander starts to subconsciously think about your car keys?

I was pretty interested in the Murph when I saw it but I think it should have come on the bracelet from the regular khaki, I think that helps hide the 42mm. Not sure how the 38mm will be but it's pretty clean and open as far as real estate goes, so maybe it'll look a little bigger than it is.

Ha! How serendipitous, I was just telling my wife that the Murph would be a great Christmas gift for my dad who is a big fan of the Interstellar movie, but had reservations about the 42mm case size for him. The release couldn't have been better timing and thanks to @SWmania for starting the thread as I definitely would have missed the release announcement.

Just saw Hamilton’s Instagram post about the release. I’m 100% getting one if it’s 38mm or below. Even at 42mm I almost bought one a few times. Really loved the watch and the movie.

Man, I'm a sucker for those cathedral hands. If only it were a manual wind with an exhibition caseback...
