New milled clasp arrived in Polished / Brushed and I really like it.

I have been wearing the US1479 so I put the clasp on that - fits perfect and feels great. I have the original Forstner Flat Link but will probably sell it and look to get the contemporary in the future.

Anyone have the all-brushed, Contemporary Flatlink on a FOIS?

Thanks!

I also have us1479 and i love it. Its one of the best bracelets for speedy, albeit the end links are poorly designed imo. I went through two pairs already trying to modify them, but i failed due to lack of adequate tools for the job

Anyone got the Contemporary, or just using the new clasp on a bracelet with a Seamaster 300m? Recently got the white dial and whislt the stock bracelet isn't bad, wouldn't mind a slightly lighter weight option!

Confirmed it’s about 2mm, perhaps a hair over 2mm. See pic of my Apollo 11 bracelet below. Unfortunately I don’t have a caliper so this is the best I can do.

I think the original non-contemporary Forstner flatlink with the new milled clasp is the combination that would be the closest thing to the Apollo 11 of the aftermarket options.

I have an Apollo 11 50th Anniversary bracelet and digital calipers. Mine measures at 2.5mm at the thickest part of the link.

So, further to the new milled clasp I fitted to the US1479, the fully brushed contemporary flat link arrived. I like it a lot.

I know others who have swapped an omega clasp cover onto a forstner without an issue, or so they say. Obviously you're not gonna do that on this milled clasp but if you were dead set on an omega cover then you'd just have to buy the other version of the forstner clasp which is lower cost anyway.

I swapped the entire clasp of my US 1450 with a new 1171 clasp from Omega. I have another US 1450 where I just changed the clasp cover and I would recommend swapping the entire clasp if given the chance.

How much?
1171/633 is the part number?

After doing some mixing & matching, I think, I found a pretty nice combination:
-Forstner Flat Link (OG),
-Forstner milled clasp,
-Uncle Seiko milled end links.
It looks ALMOST perfect imo, the only thing that bothers me is the sub 19mm width at the 6 and 12. Although im still contemplating wether i should take care of it (like making a custom links or smth), or learning to live with it.

Looks great. Did you have to do anything special to get the solid endlinks to fit? Are you using the 1.8MM omega spring bars?

Agree with you on the 19mm width. Unfortunately the only way to get that without doing something custom is the get the A11 bracelet.

I’m using stock Omega bracelet spring bars (I think they are 19mm, idk the thickness). It fits well without any modifications.

Did you make sure that you ordered the 20mm wide flat link bracelet? Looking at their website, the original flat link is made in 20mm width for the Speedy Pro and 19mm wide for the FOIS. If it's a 19mm that you've got, then try exchanging it for a 20mm and the fit should look a lot better. My 19mm fits my FOIS perfectly.

The OG is sub 19mm for both, only end links change.

I honestly can't believe how far we've come in the world of after-market Speedmaster bracelets. Used to be as recent as 4 years ago your only option was a $400 1125 from Omega.

Fast forward to today, and people are mad about .3mm changes to taper and thickness.
