How awesome would it be if this was the new official Bond watch?
It can't be without the 007 logo on the seconds hand, dial, strap, caseback, and rotor

I really like they did no-date. Not so common these days... 😀

I love it, more than the regular SMP even. I just wish they reduce the size instead of upping it. I also prefer the no-date. This model, 40-41mm, no date, would be perfect for me.

I like it, and I can just about forgive the awful skeleton hands that have plagued the SMP for years.

Do we know how much this is likely to cost?
Hodinkee says $8100

Actually doesn't look half bad at 43mm though – sniped from RJ's Instagram:

I saw it live at the OB in FFM yesterday. Totally flew under my radar before that.
It‘s a nice looking watch and it got a great feel to it. I would just hope/wish that they come out with a no date SMP in the standard size in steel.
The dial is so much more balanced when compared side by side to the steel date versions.
Cheers,
Max

Completely off topic.. Max, does that MGA in your avatar have 15" wheels?

I like the color scheme, but wish it was a solid dial not waves.

No problem 😉. If it’s about MG a little thread drift is always welcome for me.

Yes those are the original factory 15“ steel wheels. I had them restored and resprayed last year.

You can read all about the original wheels and much more here (great source of information for the mga)

I kinda like it without the date too. Like who in the modern world still needs a date on their watch? All of us have cell phones now. I dont even need a watch. Got the time right in my pocket at all times. I like watches as an accessory, not as a tool. I just want them to look the best they can, and losing the date I think helped that. Date feels dated to me now. Lol

Hard for me to understand why some of those Rolex's not only have the date, but also have that stupid grandpa bifocal thing on it. So bad! Its way past time for that thing to go. Ruins their watches for me.

Could this be the base of a new 007 model? Colorwise would fit to the theme.... Just wondering
