New Ceramic Model

I think the X33s don't get enough love! They are actual modern space watches, and have the most space time of any watch out there (including the OG speedmaster)!

My pref is the gen 2, but they all look nice.

Although I totally understand the point of your post, I wish they made more mechanical watches in titanium and ceramic.
Hopefully one day

If they make it smaller to 42mm, the subdial placement might make it look like a reduced.

Maybe the answer was to make it 43mm like the newer meteorite moonphase or chronoscope.

I’m sure they could engineer a solution to that.

The original designs of the darkside, greyside, and especially blueside were very appealing to me. Ever since then from my perspective the designs have become increasingly boring and less beautiful overall

It’s a weird thing that they seem to want to not use other materials in the 42mm size.

I actually hallucinated a blue dial titanium Speedmaster Pro existing in the era of the chocolate dial Sapphire Sandwich but no. They made the Solar Impulse GMT in titanium and based it on the 44.25mm Speedmaster Coaxial, they made a blue dial Cal 9300 Speedmaster Coaxial also in that larger size, and that is what I think I was confusing the Moonwatch with.

But there is no titanium 42mm Moonwatch, no ceramic 42mm Moonwatch, only steel or precious metal.

The closest is the Apollo 11 45th Anniversary, though even that was two tone with no bracelet.

I remember reading Chuck Maddox post about how good it would be to have a titanium normal Moonwatch like the 2298.80 he loved, it’s strange that all these years later it still hasn’t happened.
not really off topic, but not really on topic either......

yes, came with the watch from previous owner.
Looks great! I'm wearing my X33 now and had to do a double take on your picture. Interesting that it fits so well, given the increased size of the x33.

I wish they made something like that, all grey like grey side of the moon and all titanium just as a brushed finish, technical looking modern Moonwatch, like a mechanical take on the X-33. It would look so sweet.

Went by the Omega boutique on Friday and saw the new models at the store. Looks nice but just too big for me.

On the plus side, it's nice that Omega is actually getting new releases in the store immediately instead of debuting a new model but not having it ready for sale for another 9 months. I always thought it was dumb for watch brands to make a big deal about some new watch release but not have any ready for sale immediately. All the excitement and hype is lost if the watch isn't available upon release.

Agreed, though ADs are still slow to get them. My local AD will have a new Tudor release day and date with the announcement; it took them 6 months to get a white Speedy after its announcement.

it is too big...seems Omega can't solve that watch smaller...we need a new generation of engineers....ASAP!
