Omega 300m Bezel Question: Swap for New Ceramic Version?

I recently bought an older style 300m Chronograph/Chronometer. The watch is terrific. The one thing that I'm not thrilled about is the anodized aluminum bezel. The newer coaxial has a ceramic bezel which I find to be much nicer. So, my question is, Are the bezels interchangeable? Or is there an aftermarket brand that accomplishes the same thing?

Thanks in advance. I did a search and came up empty. Here is my watch:

The only way to know is to try it, and that's an expensive test.

Thanks Al. I’ll wait to see how badly the anodized bezel ages. Much appreciated!

People pay extra to get Rolex GMT Masters with with aluminum Pepsi bezels faded to pink and light blue. Who knows, maybe faded SM 300 bezels will be the hot ticket in a few years?

Hah! I like my watches to look used but not abused. I’m more worried about scratches and damage than fading. Thanks though, I appreciate it. 😉

There are plenty of aftermarket bezel inserts available. Try eBay for starters. I’ve modded a few of my Seamasters in the past including this one with a ceramic insert.

Thanks @gpssti4 , do you recall the in/out diameters of that specific watch (which is like mine)?

Sorry, I don’t remember the diameter. If I remember correctly Parnis inserts will fit, again from eBay as I’m using one for a Seamaster GMT
