·Just picked this old Equinoxe up, sight unseen, from a local auction house.
Of course it didn’t work (didn’t say it did), but I didn’t think much of it. Change the battery while hoping for the best, I thought.
After purchase I started googling a bit and noticed quite a few posts saying that it’s a PITA to change the battery and almost all were recommended to visit an Omega-authorized dealer.
I like doing my own dirty work, however.
While no watchmaker I’m reasonably handy around watches.
Do my own battery and crystal changes, relume hands and such.
If I do want to risk doing it myself...
Is there anything that I need to think of?
