Hey guys... i just saw the last thread:

    http://omegaforums.net/threads/a-lu...pened-145-022-69-from-a-0-rated-seller.22781/

and learned that "dot over ninty" is valuable. for a 145.022-69

however, i searched a bit and found this cal 861 for 2.500 euro.

shall i go for it? looks like a sound investment. (unfortunately the seller lives 300 km away, but i never minded that so far)

i am also quite unsure of the strap buckle. isnt there the word "speedmaster" missing?

if the strap does not match the watch do you think that its at least a genuine omega strap?

If you think of it as an investment then the dark, dirty looking luminous hour markers are not attractive and may be a turn off when you try to sell later on.

The bracelet may be genuine but not correct and wrong size, worth maybe $150 or less.

    - i contacted the seller, i would get the watch packet for 2100 euro.

    - my idea would be to get a dark-brown leather strap and sell the steel strap on ebay and to also get a pulsometer bezel and sell the don bezel - is that sound or crazy?

I wouldn't buy a watch just to sell off the bezel. That may or may not work out, and is certainly a hassle for a relatively small potential return. The dial is not attractive to me, and will make it a tougher (lower price) sale down the road.

That said, if you like the watch and will wear it, go for it.

Stripping down an original watch for some of the parts is never going to get much backing on here tbh.

^+1 There are tons of these speedy's with service bezels and replacement parts, why not just save the money and buy one of those? Leave the remaining originals intact! (I feel like that's some kind of protest chant... "SAVE THE ORIGINALS!")

Yea if the general idea is to try to get a Speedmaster for $1500 by selling off the DON bezel and bracelet you're going to be a bit disappointed by what you get for the pair. The last DON bezel I bought was $500 and it was nicer than that, and the bracelet is worth very little.

The value here is in a complete (bracelet aside) nice -69, as soon as you start splitting it that's gone.

I have a feeling that with better pictures the watch is actually more desirable than it looks.

Don't tear it apart, just buy it and enjoy it or place a leather vintage strap and I think you can still get a coupld of hundred more. Specially if you buy it on euros and you wait to sell it this summer for dollars.

i simply want a pre-moon speedmaster with a brown leather strap and a pulsometer bezel for as little money as possible.

    calculation:
    buy pack for 2100 euro
    sell bezel for 500 - 700 euro
    sell bracelet for 150 euro
buy leather strap for 50 euro
buy pulsometer bezel for 200 euro
    -----
    1500 - 1700 .-

You forgot the caseback. A good 69 back could go for 3-400 on e-bay, you might also get a few quid for the dial and hands, and the crown and pushers go for big money these days. And don't forget the bridge with the low serial number, someone would pay a fortune for that.
