Come on. What is even the point of needing a moonphase for any reason short of you being a lycan?

I agree there's no real point in a moonphase except that it is an aesthetically pleasing complication. My point was that a double moonphase is IMHO overkill and from a design perspective both too busy and too clumsy.

I’d opt for the Snoopy every time too. Assuming money was not the issue!
Yeah, 17k you could pay someone the profit on their new Snoopy. I am still holding out hope that my OB will call though.

Nice dials but…meh. For $23K CAD, if I were buying a new Speedmaster I’d rather purchase an Ed White or a white dial 3861 AND the new FOIS.

Or Snoopy and FOIS at msrp. Got offered a 321 on NYE but still paying for the FOIS from November. The white one is paid for.

I agree. Between any of these two and a Snoopy 50th and I’ll take the snoopy every day.
That said, I am really looking forward to seeing and trying them out next time I visit a boutique, but that’s about it.
Grey one looks like a dirty Snoopy (picture from Spanish forum Relojes Especiales):

A moonphase unnecessary? Pointless, you say!? Does no one need to plan their telescope usage around the lunar cycle?! You expect me to spend all that time hauling out a dob and collimating the reflector only have the full moon obliterate my chance to see deep sky objects!?

In all seriousness, I like elements of it, but I don't think I like the proportions of the sundials. And the price: ouch.

AD is telling me these will be "hard to get." Is that true?

I can't see this model becoming a 'must have' piece of kit for Omega, but no one knows what the production allotment is in the Omega system. If it takes off it might become hard to get, but no one knows at this point. Remember, the ADs goal is to sell watches, so take his comments with a grain of salt.

Good thing they’re “hard to want” then!
I got a feeling these will be difficult to get for the first few months like all new releases. But between the price and the fairly polarizing design (lunarizing?) I doubt it will be difficult in a few months.

I think that production might be somewhat limited given the pieces of moon meteorite that it has for the moonphase, assuming these are hard to get, I wouldn't know 🤷‍♂️

Don’t forget your illudium Q-36 explosive space modulator.

Honestly, Moonphases annoy me TBH. I can suck up the inaccuracy of the second hand on the Speedmasters, its just part of its charm. But the inability to set the moonphase in any accurate way would annoy the crap out of me.

Now that would be worth it if instead of a second moon Marvin the Martin pops out on a hidden disc.

Marvin needs to be on the Marstimer somewhere.

I think the issue is just how much It does differently all at once. that seems to be what generally everyone is saying in different ways?
