The big miss is the moon phase. It's too big for the dial and while two moons is an interesting design concept (considering NASA wants to explore the southern pole), it's borderline gimmicky, in spite of how nice the moons are.
Aesthetically, this is my issue with it as well. I think the moonphase subdial would look so much better if it were the same size as the other two, and I think a more common moonphase representation (not the two moons) would likewise look (and fit in the space) better.
Fully agree with the assessment, but if they made only the classical "top" moonphase, then there would be too much overlap with the current Racing moonphase 44.25 mm IMO, making the new watch even harder to sell.
I really don't get the constant whinning about the price. The basic moonwatch professional costs today 7.6k, Chronoscope 9k, Speedy moonphase racing 10.9k, all in CHF with bracelet. So what do you really expect? That a new release with real moonstones and relatively fancy dial will cost the same as the racing model? Omega is raising prices, same as all brands in the industry. Longines and Tudor now sell models at 5k if you haven't noticed. Let's see the price of this new model in a year from now on the secondary market.
