I prefer the look of the Tudor bb36 tbh, really average and uninspired releases.

The all stainless steel is better, for me!

They should stop the 2tone. I thought they would have learnt with the SD43...

Rolex seems to be expanding the no gender category watches. Lots of ladies wearing the Daytona, Milgaus and now maybe the new TT 36mm Explorer.

    Good move by Rolex.

They can charge more for the two tone precious metal contents and then force everyone on the "waiting lists" to buy them while they wait for a chance to buy the brand new and improved SS Explorer II.

People should not underestimate the surprisingly wild popularity of two-tone models, especially in certain non-western markets

For example, while hard to prove definitively it is pretty widely acknowledged that Rolex’s most sold category are the two tone DJs ...

Specifically about the two tone -- I think this is Rolex showing they pay attention to more than just us nerds. I am not in this watch's demographic, but that's true for most of their catalog.

About going to 36mm -- {chin stroke} Interesting move! As a guy with a 6.5" wrist, I can wear this size no problem. I will not be letting go of my 39mm Explorer 1, but if I had to replace that watch, the SS 36mm Explorer 1 would be totally acceptable.

I think you might be on to something here. The 25mm YG Diamondmaster or whatever the hell it is definitely points to them doing some extra market research.

I have a history of bad decisions with Explorer I watches, but I'm not going to compound it by buying this one. :D

It just really screams low-class nouveau riche Rolex. Maybe in the metal and perhaps with a difference bracelet it could look acceptable, but on these pictures it's just very cringy.

I love two tone, maybe not on this model, but who knows.

I’d be in for the steel for sure IF they are actually available.

if they do the waitlist crap, I’ll get a railmaster.
