Have you tried the 39.5 PO? Its thinner and wears great.

No there weren't any in when I called. I think it will probably be too small but I'd like to give it a go to be certain. Then again, I'm not sure the PO styling is for me anyway.

I went to my local boutique today to check out the new Diver 300M with the thought of having it replace my Planet Ocean 600M.

Have to say I like my PO better than the diver. Hard to articulate why, but the new Diver just didn’t rock my boat.

I tried on the 39.5 and it's a sweet size. I still however prefer the 43.5 despite its thickness.

In my ongoing quest to find a modern diver I popped into a OB today and they happened to have just taken delivery of their first new Seamasters in black.

The new SM300m has increased to 42mm but weirdly it actually wears as big as (if not bigger than) the PO43.5. The PO is however noticeably thicker. Actually it's too thick for me. My wrist is between 7.5/7.75".

I have to say the finishing on the SM300m was excellent. The contrast between the polished and brushed elements of the case and the finishing on the dial were sublime.

As you can see from the picture, the waves aren't as evident in the flesh.

The bracelet is also much nicer on the newer model as it's not as rounded and has the lovely extension on the clasp.

A great watch all around really. I can see this selling exceptionally well.

Excuse the poor pictures.

I like ‘em both. The SMP looks bigger on your wrist than the P.O. 43.5 as I look at the photos. I need to check them both out in the flesh. Thanks for the photos.
