I'm considering picking one up, but I can't seem to find many pics of the moonwatch looking version. I'd be happy with pics of any version, as well as how you like them/how does it wear? Thanks in advance for the help!
I’ve got the racing. Fantastic watch. Super comfortable. This watch was my first Omega. More of a Breitling guy before with: aerospace, airwolf and transocean chrono limited. The 9900 seem to be a great daily watch. Never worry about it’s fragility.
Not the Moonwatch lookin' version but still nice in white. Doesn't sit on the wrist as nice as a Daytona for me (and the whole price gouging game is dumb), but better in every other way.
Can only concur, great watch that wears well! The white dialed one is on my list as well even though it's quite similar to the GSOTM that I have.
How's the legibility of this one compared to the white hands of a moonwatch? Can you read it well most of the time?
It definitely looks like the dial has more play about it...and I think I'd be less likely to "baby" it like I would a daytona (if I'm ever 'allowed' to buy one). How's the bracelet? Looks like the more brushing would hide scratches/swirls better than the daytona. Is legibility good in most lighting? Side note - M3, M5? Thanks!
Legibility is fine, there is nice contrast between hands and dial. The date window is pretty small though for my aging eyes...
I have the black dial/orange hand combo with the black strap. Love it! Currently I sent it off to get a slight adjustment on the timing. It's by far by most frequent wearer
Here's a couple of photos of mine on a black cordura JR strap. I alternate this as a daily wearer with my AT Golf Edition. I love the Speedmaster Racing - the dark hands against the white dial are great for legibility, and it's super comfortable to wear.
A few pics off the cuff under different light conditions.I love it, wears amazing if you like big watches. My wrist is 18cm/7in..
Just back from Omega service. It was starting to run a shade slow after a year. No big deal but took advantage of the warranty to get it regulated
I really like the Racing models, from movement to dial and materials, and have tried them on countless times, but find them just that little bit too big for my wrist. I’d be all over a slimmer 41mm version. Good luck with your search, OP.
When I picked up the orange/black version I was on the fence about getting the white one. It was a tough choice going with the back and orange. This really looks nice
If you have the moonwatch already or are planning to get one, get the white racing. But if as a stand alone watch, i love the aesthetics of the black racing better.
It's funny, I wasn't a fan of these models until I actually saw one in the flesh. The dials are outstanding!
