·Hi all,
I'm new to watch collecting and could use some advice about the following. I can purchase a vintage omega watch of a colleague of mine, but I do not really know what to look for to judge whether I'm buying a original watch or a redial / Frankenstein. And also whether $700 would be a fair price.
I did some research myself by comparing this watch to similar offers on Chrono 24.
- Omega sign in the center of the glass is there
- Reference number is consistent with similar offers
But other than that, I don't what to look for.
The watch really looks beautiful, but perhaps to good for a watch that age?
I don't have any pictures from the internals. Colleague states that it is difficult for this wacht but says that the watch was serviced earlier this year (I do trust him on that).
What do you guys think?
Regards,
Henk (Belgium)
