Gentlemen,
First, I am a new member and this is my first post. As you, I also enjoy quality timepieces. That said, I have been entertaining the idea of purchasing my first vintage Omega.

I am currently looking at a vintage stainless 1960’s automatic Cal. 565 - ref. 166.070 for $543.00.

I would kindly ask you gentlemen to view the photos to determine if this a quality piece suggest I pass.

I have attached several photos.

Thank you kindly.

Hi Börn and welcome on the Forum!

I'm no Geneve specialist so just some points:

The upper left lug seems to be bent in a way, its looking different than the others

I think with 540 USD the watch is quite highly priced, if it should need a service you are at 750 USD...

Otherwise I see no obvious problems, maybe you will get another members option also

Good luck

Spoke with dealer. Said was serviced in 2019. But in any case, if you two say the price is steep, then I will not purchase the time piece.
Thank you for your advice.

Can you recommend a dealer that sells authentic vintage Omega’s at a reasonable price?

Are you keen on a special reference (model)?

If not check

That is a nice time piece. Thank you for the link. I am looking to spend 500-750 for a piece.

I agree the price is a little bit on the high side. You can certainly do better with little more research and patience. Good luck and welcome!
