I have been a collector (mostly Omega,Lucien Picard,Tissot)for a few years, but still a novice in many ways. What a beautiful hobby.
Just Purchased this omega seamaster geneve. I bought it online so all I have is the pictures I was provided with. According to the reference number on the inside of the mechanism it looks like it's a 1969 caliber 565 (ref. 31463332).

It is also hallmarked properly at 18K. My issue was that after researching for a while I can't find another watch that looks just like this.
It almost looks like a Geneve Movement with a Constellation case.

Again I am quite an novice and the seller promises that it's all genuine except the band.. Also I read that in these years the Model names are quite interchangeable.
I appreciate all the advice and comments the members could provide.

The number you included is the serial number, not the reference number. I can't see a reference number, and in fact the case-back looks strange to me. Perhaps it was locally cased, or I guess it could just be the poor photos. Do you see hallmarks on the actual case itself, or are you referring to the engraving inside the case-back?

Hi Dan and Henry. Thanks for the quick reply. I was referring to the 18K 750 Hallmark on the inside of the dust cover. This watch is coming from Spain. I read that that cases for see master and Geneve were interchangeable in those days
Is there any truth to that or is that an old wife's tale And if this is a Frankenstein watch does that decrease the value tremendously? I realize that the gold value is always there

If you look on the outside of the Case cover it has the same master logo as well. But it has a geneve dial?

There is definitely some overlap between the Geneve, Seamaster, and DeVille lines. However, it's not terribly common to have a Geneve dial (with no Seamaster double branding) and a Seamaster case. It would take some research to figure out if it's original.

Here is the more detailed photo of the case back. I don't know what to make of those marks. The one at the top is interesting. Looks like a hexagon with a wave inside. Maybe someone here will recognize them.

I found another similar shaped case that I think is Italian-made: 162.90001. But it has a snap back instead of screw back and a different profile between the lugs (and maybe other differences I don't see). https://www.ebay.com/itm/2753773910...55-0&campid=5338722076&customid=&toolid=10050

The case maker's stamp appears to be above the 18k stamp. I'm not familiar with that one.

I don't see anything that screams "fake" but it surely is different than we're used to. I wish Omega would still tell you for free what they now charge for. Keep digging, you might find more!
