The logo is quite discreet, I think it won't be a big deal for a lot of people. Otherwise maybe you can offer the 2 options (no idea if it is economically feasible, just an idea...)

I also noticed that with the similarity of Uncle Seiko logo and the Omega symbol. Turn around and pump up a little ;-)

But fun aside. I think the Uncle Seiko logo is wonderfully simple and clean. And it represents the manufacturer tastefully. Of course, it belongs on the outside of the clasp. This makes the bracelet special!

As an idea regarding how this project started: how about a small mention in plain text of the project 'influenced by Omega Forums' or something like that inside the clasp. If not for all, at least for a small edition run of the bracelets for OF.

Nah just leave the logo off and leave the clasp blank. Leaving it blank won’t stop anyone from buying it; including the logo will stop some people. Probably me included.

Just received one of the Uncle's President bracelets for my "daily diver" SKX011. Nice quality bracelet ..... great fit and comfortable as well...

You know, it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to all the different types of Speedmaster bracelets... Anyone up to it?

In all honesty, I'm nowhere near qualified to be the guy to start that thread

A good starting place

EDIT - @unclepenn1 I would leave the standard company logo on the clasp

I reckon your best bet as far as appealing to a large number of potential buyers is to do a replica of the 1039/516 bracelet. There are plenty of older Speedmaster's that would benefit from a period correct replica of this bracelet. I'd buy one.

Just wanted to second this. Would be the missing everyday beater replacement for so many vintage Speedies 👍

Other than that, I can only add that I've had a few straps and bracelets from @unclepenn1 for my vintage Seikos, and I can only say good things about them.

So, I just received this NOS 1035 bracelet I bought and I must say I am very surprised at how light it is. I almost can't believe that this is what the majority of guys want to wear with their Speedy. No offense intended, and maybe it's just because of the weight of the stock bracelet that came with mine, and the beads of rice I made. This is like a feather! I do like the spring action, although I won't be reproducing that aspect of it. But wow, kind of surprised at this!

Light is not a bad thing. I have worn the 1610 (using 840 end links) with my Seamaster 300 and it can get quite heavy. The 1171 doesn't weigh a whole lot either.

The stock modern bracelet is very heavy. When I wear my modern Speedy on a leather strap it’s almost as if the watch weighs nothing, almost liberating.

Somewhere in the middle would probably be nice. I believe the 1035/1039 are folded links and not solid judging by photos? That would make them lighter? If you could have a look at the bracelet on the Apollo 50th and emulate that it would make for a solid modern bracelet with some heft and with the vintage look. As long as the clasp is no more than 16mm wide (bracelet 14mm wide at the clasp) I’ll buy one!

If you're not doing the spring system (I never assumed that was on the cards), then your bracelet will naturally be heavier because the links at the clasp ends won't be hollow.
I don't think a little more weight is a bad thing. It's not going to be as heavy as a modern Speedmaster bracelet.
Per the logo on the clasp, Omega guys might not know it yet, but the Uncle Seiko logo is a mark of a good quality well thought out bracelet. Putting an Omega logo on it as suggested by someone above makes it a fake, which I know isn't your game.
However, to crack the Omega market (some of whom will not want the bracelet to be associated with 'lesser' Seiko, you might want to think about branding that is a little more Omega and a little less Seiko.

I've never found any of the Speedmaster bracelets to be too heavy but then I do tend to like larger watches than the Speedmaster. The light weight and feel of the original flat link bracelet is one of the things I've never really liked about the flat link bracelet and hence seldom fit them to my vintage Speedmasters, which is a shame considering how good they look on the watch

I totally agree with you. I would like it more heavy about the same weight like the modern Speedmaster bracelets

Should most def have an Uncle Seiko logo on it. High quality bracelets at reasonable prices, filling a need we all share.

Can we do a run of Omega Forum inscribed clasps?

That would be interesting! I guess if enough buyers are found that would be a possibility.... Hmmm

I’d love a solid link 1171 but whichever design you decide on, I will definitely buy one.
