Day 22. Still not here yet! It's held up in UK somewhere either in Customs or with USPS's UK partner (assuming Royal Mail)

Getting the arse now. Day 26. Still in Transit from Heathrow. Can't email USPS about it, although to be fair to them it's a UK problem.

Have you had a customs card yet? That'll be the next step I would think, last high value thing I had in from the states took 3 week+ and that was pre-covid!

Yes most likely. Look forward to a charge of £30 total on a circa £100 order after their admin fee is included, but you likely already knew that!

The BoR I received first went through customs for free, and still took 4 weeks to be delivered (Covid effect).
For the Holzer I had to pay 21% over a 102euro total value plus 13euros fixed processing fee. Fortunately it got cleared very fast and was delivered in two weeks total, but I have seen sometimes in the past shipments getting stuck in customs for some additional days...
If the UK customs are anything like the Dutch this is the most likely explanation.

Here in the US I never paid an import duty on anything except my WatchCo Seamaster 300, because it was over the limit. I feel really bad for you guys who get nickel and dimed to death.

I’m in the same boat, my polished flat link arrived in LHR on 20th July with no further updates since.

I ordered a us 1711 and it went from California to Texas to Paris before someone realised that was not the way to get to Australia and it then went back from Paris to Texas before falling off the tracking about a week ago where I think it is with my local postal service. This bracelet is more well travelled than I am in 2020. 😁

Delighted with the bracelet but have had to order extra links for more comfort on my fat wrist

Hi,

I ordered 2 Flat-Link polished finish - one in 19mm and one in 20mm - around July 15th to Germany … still waiting.

Last Info from USPS:
. "Your item departed a transfer airport in FRANKFURT,
. GERMANY on July 20, 2020 at 9:36am. The item is
. currently in transit to the destination. _ _ / "

Can't wait to get it sooooooon ...

Also ordered 2 Flat-Link, however i took the "all-brushed" execution. now that i look at the photos, i start to doubt my decision. The polished ones look really owesome on the FOIS.

I keep looking at the flatlink polished/brushed.... I need a FOIS....
Convincing the Financial Manager might be complicated though...

Another Speedy I'm liking more and more is the good old 3594.50 (the 57 Replica)... Those aren't too expensive yet....

Had one. Nothing special, really. Does NOT come with display back.

I'd recommend a current Speedmaster 57 long before I'd recommend the 3594.50. I eventually replaced bezel and hands on mine because they annoyed me.

Edited to add: That is a good platform to build the last pre-pro Speedmaster on, though. They're Luminova so the parts will match. Mine, before I traded it to my watchmaker for servicing, had alpha hands on it. Omega service center serviced it as it was, they didn't care about the exchanged parts, since they were all genuine Omega parts.

I’m reading with interest the wait times. I’ve ordered a BOR and flat link polished for my FOIS. I ordered a JDM G Shock that arrived in 4 days during lockdown so it’s a bit disappointing these are taking so long to get delivered (it was shipped with DHL though).

...Sorry to sidetrack this thread a bit... you guys modding Speedys with FOIS with different hands and such, where are you getting the parts ? I remember the days ofrei had everything, but now is not the case anymore.

That's actually when I did it, years ago when Otto Frei had the parts. No idea where these guys are getting them now. In the US, I guess you could try to convince an authorized service center to sell and install what you want.

In the same situation.

You may have to wait a touch longer though, mine has been in Frankfurt since the 17 July, there is a contact form on Deutsche Post if it still shows now movement.

Greetings from Munich.

It's landed! Yes was expecting to be charged VAT on it, but also got stiffed £6.00 by the Royal Mail for a handling charge so £22.00 around. Harder to take because I also had to go down to the sorting office to pick it up.

Worth it though!

Bought the flat link and 1171 for my FOIS. I decided to go with the 1171 for now. Looks great.
