Need Input for Speedmaster Bracelet Design

2. A lot of the old bracelets have end-links that sit under the lugs. I don't think I have seen an Omega bracelet with end-links that are flush. Is this something guys like and would want to keep? I like a bracelet that is flush with the case, and always thought it strange when certain watches have bracelets that sit under the lugs. Any thoughts about this?

in my opinion, the way these flat end links on older omegas sit slightly below the lugs helps accentuate the twist in the lugs. if you look at something like the 2500 series aqua terras on their bracelets, the twist of the lugs is basically lost despite being more or less the same as the speedmaser.
I'll be watching this thread, a modern version of a flat link omega bracelet is something I have wanted since I bought my speedmaster. my only other suggestion is to keep the "female style" end links for lack of a better term.

As @eugeneandresson mentioned, I'd be happy to provide measurements for a 1450. Where are you based, may be easier to send to you?

Definitely the 1450 and flat link would be great, also if you are going down the route of solid end links then solid end links for the 1171 I'm sure would be very popular.
Something to be aware of is that the Speedmaster through time has different positions for the spring bars. I've found this when fitting 80/90's bracelets to different cases and found they sit at a different height than intended.

@mblease measurements would be great, but ideally I would want to purchase one. If that is impossible, then that would be the next step, getting the proper measurements.

Sorry guys, I should have been more clear in regards to #2. When I say that they sit under the lugs, I don't mean underneath, I mean how the bracelet wears in relation to the case. See picture for example.

To my mind, the endlinks on a Speedmaster should sit only part way up the lugs like the originals do. This forms part of the vintage look and accentuates the look of the flat link bracelet.

The taller endlinks look more like those found on modern bracelets and it would defeat the purpose of creating a vintage looking flat link bracelet.

OK, I have decided on the two bracelets I want to make in the near future.

1. The Mexican Holzer Bracelet. The moment I saw it I knew I wanted to make it. Thanks to the guys who brought it to my attention. I want this on my Speedmaster!

2. The 1035 Flat Link. Another dreamy bracelet that has that amazing vintage-y goodness.

My plan is to make them for the FOIS 19mm and Modern Speedy 20mm.

I will need help acquiring both of these. Would anyone be willing to post a WTB for me on the WATCH PARTS AND ACCESSORIES forum? I am unable to do so, probably because of a low post count. You can include my email address in the listing ([email protected]). Maybe respond below if you can do that, so there aren't multiple posts?

Man, this is exciting. I can't wait to get started! 😀

1035 is for 19mm lug width? I believe you need a 1039 with 516 end links for Speedy Pro.

Excited to see what you come up with, the Holzer bracelet does not interest me at all, it looks too busy and was only found on certain Speedys sent to Mexico, but a high quality flat link bracelet, hopefully with an improved clasp like on the 50th anniversary editions, would be awesome.

I think the appropriate thing to do is to PM admins about how to proceed with your WTB.

You know, it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to all the different types of Speedmaster bracelets... Anyone up to it?

In all honesty, I'm nowhere near qualified to be the guy to start that thread

It's a terrible feeling asking one's self "how the hell did I miss that?"

Just to give you guys an update: I ordered a FOIS Speedy yesterday and also scored a 1035 Flat Link on Ebay. This is going to happen! 😀
