So, I saw an Omega today in passing that I had never seen before. Does anyone have an idea what model it might be?! The fonts look correct to me, even has the serifs: I’m just a little uncertain - straight M in the Omega logo, must be a 1920s model? Certainly wasn’t a quartz movement, that much I could hear.
Right? My partner pointed that out, by the way. If I believed in marriage I would’ve proposed right then and there.
I seriously doubt that orange life ring is original. Someone is just trying to drive up the value by making it look like an Ultrayacht. It looks a few millimeters too short.
I am not an expert, but it is a redial for me. The face cannot be so clean and I do not see Swiss made either. Never trust these low res photos from internet, especially if you do not have the picture of the movement and the inside of the case back.
Definitely a vintage Seamaster - it's not a self-winding movement. Not sure if I agree it's a redial or simply a restored dial. No patina, color looks modern, crystal also looks new although no anti-reflective coating. After studying more closely, it might be a quartz - it has backlighting instead of luminova. Looks to be a very unique edition.
I don't think the straps holding it to the dock are original. Probably just cheap aftermarket jobbers.
Lucky the owner didn't name it "Rolex". It would have either been boarded and seized or torpedoed by YKH.
