I can't seem to install this on an older 8500. I've seen a thread where someone installed one on another Seamaster but can't find it. If I'm not mistaken, the spring bar needs to be curved or so.

Anyone successfully install the new rubber straps on an older model?

Almost certain lug holes are positioned differently, perhaps with curved spring bars you may be able to fit it

I bought some curved spring bars from eBay and will keep you guys posted. Now my question is how to position it lol? Bend facing or away from the case?

I've seen this structured strap fitted onto an AT 8500 that just sold on eBay.

Here's the photo from the listing. From the looks of the photo I think the spring bars are curved with the bend facing away from the case.

So in theory that's how the strap should attach to your AT 8500.

Thanks for sharing. The curved spring bar worked.

For those who are interested, I measured the curved bar at 23mm.. I thought it would be too long but it worked.

Definitely, the most comfortable strap I've ever tried. Texture and feel of rubber is great. With the bracelet, the AT felt more on the heavy side.
