Came across this beautiful Omega De Ville watch and was wondering if it’s an authentic vintage or a fake one. Please help me! It’s my first watch I am looking to buy!

Based on those pics it looks OK.
Be aware it's a ladies watch.

What do you think of the numbers on the back? Is it genuine?

Looks like a serial number, ca 1987/88.

Is it genuine for it to be printed on the back? I thought it would be engraved I suppose. I am a newbie sorry too many questions

Quite normal for the time. The serial number will also be on the movement but having it on the back was necessary for the dealer to be able to manage stock/inventory and associated documents.

$1000 rarely worn with tag

USD$?
CAD$?
AUD$?

Far too much for a ladies quartz from that era.

In any of those currency's $1000 is about three times what it's worth.

Even if it were solid gold (which it isn't) that's way too much.

We all pay the noob tax.

Welcome to the club.

I am sure others will ask if there is a return option. Buyers remorse is probably not the best one though.

Many people do buy such watches and do not take the time to research them. I would suspect only a small fraction bother with sites like this.

The main thing if looking at the watch makes you happy. That is the point of all this. Watches are emotion.

Thank you so much!!! It makes me feel a lot better because I truly love the watch. Everything about it is what I wanted - the leather strap, the dial, and the Roman numerals. Looks very elegant.
I don’t have much buyers remorse and I am looking forward to wearing it everyday.

That's all that really matters.
It's something that will give you joy for many years to come.
Imagine if you had spent the same amount on Taylor Swift tickets (or similar eye watering concert prices).
In a few years you'll have trouble remembering it, but a glance at your wrist will always raise a smile.
