Need help verifying 16700 GMT 1997

Hi,

im sorry if im posting this in the wrong place - can anyone help me verify this 16700, I’m currently in Japan and found this in Book Off. Comes with outer box as well some booklets etc but no warranty card - bracelet is 73790 and serial number is U.

Any help would be much appreciated

Bracelet should be a 78790 (you typed 73790). But the pics you posted appear to have the correct digits on on the bracelet.
The hollow endlinks are correct for a U-serial.

Bezel insert looks authentic. It's a fat font serif which is within range to be correct for a late 90's example

Dial and hands look good.

Ended up grabbing it! My first Rolex
I think the polish job is a bit ehh on one of the lugs but overall I think I’m happy with it.
