Hello all! I’m new to the watch world and was just passed down an Omega that was owned by my great-grandfather. Could someone enlighten on its model & ref number and perhaps a little history to it? Apparently it was a daily for my great grandad (I never got to meet him) but am really touched that I have something from him & intend on keeping it. I’ve tried looking through many threads & forums but can’t seem to find anything close to it. Attached are photos of it! Thanks in advance everyone!

Hi Danny. Thank you for giving me some insight into the watch! Glad to know that it’s legitimate - a little disappointed that they aren’t that sought after. Would you consider this watch to be more of a jewelry piece than an actual watch?

It's a Constellation, which is Omega's top of the line dress watch, so I would certainly consider it a high-quality watch. Given the amount of gold, it also makes a statement as a piece of jewelry. The style isn't currently popular to most modern collectors, but that is entirely subjective.
