Need Advice - Seamaster Grand Luxe or Geneve with Oxblood Dial

I’m thinking of treating myself with something a little older and cheaper. I have two watches in consideration: Seamaster Grand Luxe and a Geneve early 70s?

The Seamaster looks well worn likely polished a lot of times. The Geneve has cracked glass, so that would have to be replaced. Trying to get better pictures on the Geneve.

I am wondering if the geneve is a redial, I’ve been struggling to find this colour referenced. But I am new to the vintage game.





Any advice is greatly appreciated, if I should run or not!

I don't think anyone is that experienced with the 70's red dial Geneve models, but I think there are genuine coloured ones out there

The one you shared might not be, white painted indices always throw me off but it's a 60's thing, in 70's not sure

Thanks for your input. I’m going to be seeing it in person this week. With the bad photos they look white but I don’t think they shouldn’t be to your point. Same with the hands, they look black but I think it’s the dark reflection from the back phone. ‍♂️

I suggest you google "Omega Spider Dial" and look for the cracks in the red one, all the originals cracked

I was looking at that, when I see it in person that is something I’ll be looking for.
