Hi all, I’ve owned a vintage LCD Moonwatch 186.0004 previously, but having sold it a few years ago, I’ve regretted it ever since.

The same model has come up for sale but unfortunately is missing the caseback, so I’ve not purchased it just yet. Would anyone be able to advise me where I can get an original replacement caseback from? Basically I’ve called Omega Boutique to enquire but they are unable to tell me if the caseback is available. They’ve asked me to book the watch in to send to Omega in Switzerland and they’ll let me know. Bit of a dilemma as I’ve not purchased the watch yet!

Would be nice to hear your thoughts and advice on sourcing a caseback, if I was to purchase the watch.

Photo of the previous watch I owned just for reference. 97DF60ED-16B0-4B67-A092-6EFAB8D7C3AE.png

    Many thanks in advance.

The case back for this is still available from Omega. A watchmaker with an Omega parts account could purchase and fit the case back for you.

If you want to look for one on the open market, you might get lucky - the part number is 112ST1860004.

    Cheers, Al

Thank Al. That’s brilliant news. So now I have the option to send the watch to Omega or find a Omega Specialist. On another note, do you know if the bezel insert is still available?

Thank you for you help as always
