A couple of shots I took tonight of the wild pyramidal orchids, these grow in a limestone outcrop on the outskirts of Sunderland in the UK. Beautiful close up. Colours range from white to purple.pollination from butterflies, moths and bees.
A pair of dainty birds going for a stroll my neighbor sent them to me as a warning of course I had to seek them out although I’ve learned don’t mess with two bears, da bears. I was ready for a Leonardo decaprio type battle, I think I’d suffer the same fate even if I brought my .32
When I was in pre or early teen years we had neighbours who had stick insects living wild in their garden. I don't know if the insects were native (probably not) but they were always in one particular bush in the back garden. These neighbours also had a microscope and lots of other instruments and were very good to a scientifically minded kid.
Now I feel 13 years old again. They were very kind to me.
