Yes, UK yesterday. I think it was a grass snake but it was a big one.

Yes lovely.. stunning olive coloring, and sometimes appear slightly iridescent in the right light,
..and yes surprisingly they grow to be about five feet long

Took these snaps tonight in beautiful sunshine here in county Durham of the Common twayblade ,which is a species of the orchid family it's pollinated by small insects , and from setting seed to flowering for the 1st time can take up to 15 years stunning plant close up.

A few more pictures I took tonight of wild orchids the 1st two are the common spotted orchids colours ranging from white to dark purple the name spotted in there name regards the spotting on the leaves.

A few more shots of wildflowers which I took this afternoon here in the UK 1st plant is the bee orchid this flower releases a scent of a female bee the male bee tries to do it's business unknowingly pollonating the flower, various colours in the species.2nd plant common spotted orchid and finally a waterside wildflower ragged robin.

In the UK we have to cheat a bit for the larger and or more exotic wildlife... Thankfully the two big boys are well fed.

MIL loves gardening. Much downsized from their old house but still plenty to go around. Took these on Sunday after some thunderstorms rolled through and forgot to post.

Hike got abbreviated due to an injured bear. I’ve found most of the time as long as you keep your distance they don’t get too upset around humans and I don’t panic just stay aware but this poor fellow was injured I didn’t want to stick around to see if injured bears get mean. We called the DEP as it’s right at the edge of a neighborhood but they said they won’t do anything for poor Mr injured bear.
