·The good thing about NATO straps is that if they are fabric, you can simply throw them in the washing machine when needed. I wear a watch playing tennis at least 6 hours a week on a NATO, and it gets washed and rotated with a few others regularly.
Tip for a strap that smells - place it in a plastic bag, and throw in the freezer for a week. Even smelly leather straps have come back smelling clean doing this in my experience.

Ozone also works. We have one of these. Now, it's more for use in car or smelly room or shed or WHY... But you could put the strap in your car when you use this...
I admit it's overkill, but man it removes odors like you wouldn't believe
