I’m in the club...
Note the 1.2m jump in serials between my April ‘66 Ed White and this June ‘66 model. I know the straight lugs weren’t big sellers once the Pro had been released, maybe they made them in small batches. Anyone ever seen a 23m serial EW? Or Pro for that matter?

The guy is dreaming big style, 16K just because it came from one shop which was in or attached to a Military Base.. whoopsie doo,...

A lot of civilians seem to put some value in it - surely only people who've never been in one would do that.

It’s easy to be cynical when clowns are asking silly premiums but anything out of the ordinary on an extract does add interest to a piece IMO. I would rather have a NAAFI delivered watch than one from Meister or Tiffany since there all you really have is some badly printed advertising for a Jeweller bang in the middle of the dial. The market rather disagrees with me on this point though! I have been in several NAAFI establishments and no they aren’t all that impressive to be honest but then they don’t sell Omegas any more.

Yep, that’s my take as well.

I often wonder about these serial number mysteries myself...

I can’t recall seeing a 23M Ed White, but maybe someone else has.

Lets see how many are out there..
I’ll start...
145.012-67
105.012-66(CB)

There are times, honestly, when it comes to Speedmasters that I really have no idea what I'm supposed to be looking at and thinking.

I think having the NAAFI record would really make a watch quite special
