My wife asked me how my day has gone.

I drove by our newly restored City Hall on Friday (today), to see that the tower clock I wrote about in late 2020, was stopped! I texted my contact with the City who knows the clock well, to enquire about it being stopped. He phoned me back later to tell me that the clock quit in October 2021! Union rules preclude him from checking out the clock, and possibly contacting me if my help is required! I am sure there are others who have opinions on such bureaucratic stupidity! It may not be put right as neither he nor I belong to the union!
