Indeed! Brent was the guy wot got me fully and finally hooked on these, and in a timely fashion too, before the price bump.

I remember those talks when I was educating you. Now you have forgotten more than I ever knew. I absolutely love the watches and regret having sold off the collection. Now I can't even afford my own watches anymore…So it goes. I am sure there are many folks who owned old Daytonas who feel that way. At least it was for a good cause - this is what it funded, the purchase of the defender 110 and the restoration of the range rover classic. Now, if I can time it a little better, perhaps my old swatch will fund my purchase of a classic ferrari…..

Well if you are gonna have just one. I'd say that's it. Beautiful.

The Polerouter Sub is the pride of my collection!
No fakes in my collection, this one is the real deal ! The Lecoultre Polaris from the sixties is one of the last watches I desire ! The UG sub is the closest watch to the Lecoultre. Maybe someday Ill get one but they are 20 k +.

How long did it take to amass such a stellar collection?

It took over 15 years. I wish I would have collected more UG ! I also collect other brands, so I was not always focused on UG enough!

How much would you guess that the value of the average Tri-Compax has appreciated in those 15 years... 3x? 5x? More?

I'm a relatively n00b as far as vintage watches, but it seems as though in the 2.5 years of my obsession that the overall Swiss vintage market has risen roughly 20-25%...

I don't care all that much whether they do or not, it's just a 'perk' of the hobby to me because I love them, want them, and buy them regardless, but it's fascinating to watch...😉...😀

They have all gone up, with the 60 s going up the most !. 40s and 50s I think still have room to increase in value. Condition, size, dial, hands , etc...are all factors that influence value, so the appreciation varies from Tricompax to Tri-compax!

Mind sharing a close up pic of the Sub (it won;t hurt if you post close up shots of the others too)
