Called a local AD looking for spring bars for my 1803 Day-Date. The rep: “Bring the watch in, and we’ll send the watch out to Rolex, and they’ll fit the bars and send it back.”

Me: “Ha ha ha ! No, thanks, nothing else you can help with.”

That's a pretty old Day-Date with a missing spring bar. I'll take the watch off your hands.

The Rolex rules get more insane all the time.

The service center in Toronto will no longer allow in person appointments for pick up or drop off. Everything must be shipped in now, even if you are local.

You have been added to the list. We will call you when spring bars are available. Estimating 12-36 months

You now have to purchase a bracelet before you can purchase spring bars. Neither of the bracelet nor the spring bars are currently available. You can get on a waitlist for a bracelet OR the spring bars, but not both. Neither of the waitlist can tell you how longer it will take.

That's completely crazy (not that I didn't see it coming eventually)

Shipping your watch of for God knows how long to install a spring bar 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I called my local watch maker to see if he had some OEM spring bars for my Moonwatch, he said he had some to come on over. I get there and they're these cheap ass, crappy spring bars and he say's, "oh, they'll work just fine!" I responded, oh hell no they won't and he just looks at me all bewildered like? So I ordered the correct ones online and waited.
