·My second Baume & Mercier chronograph entered the collection recently, this one a ~1940s (I think) Valjoux 22 powered two register chrono with a 36mm stainless steel case. It came with the original strap and hang tag (serial matches with case), and some remaining wax on the caseback. The dial has a couple scratches, so my hypothesis is that the crystal was replaced at some point, as according to my watchmaker the movement appeared to have been un-serviced.
The question I keep getting is - are you going to wear it? Well, yes, I am.. but pretty sparingly. After one day I already noticed a small peace of wax stuck to my arm. Question for the forum - any solutions I haven't thought of to preserve the wax..?
With my other B&M chrono, also Valjoux 22 powered in a ~35mm steel case.
