The lume color looks fine to me. More concerned with the closed 6, Seamaster 300 font thickness seams varied (the S seems thinner than rest of word, could be the picture clarity) and the minute markers over the BT.
And the roundness of the numbers also don’t add up in my opinion. Here’s a comparison between OP’s and my -68.

I think these are both seen on BTs. Certainly I've held several watches with minute markers that are covered by the BT. I don't think "definitely been some dial work" is fair.

Hi @bigsom, are you reading our posts correct? The minute markers on OP’s watch is running OVER the lume, not under it. At least this is what we see in the pictures, and I also include a picture from a post in MWR from 2016 of the same dial. Please have a look for your self. You also see that the O in OMEGA is not round either.

I picked this piece up from a very prominent collector. Can you please confirm if something is off about this dial? I was told this piece is original.
here are some more pictures also of the O in omega

Did you check the discussions on MWR, and the claim that this watch was sold at Bonhams earlier in 2017 with a different bezel and caseback, if the original post is correct over there?

Please can you take a better picture of the big triangle area as well. We want to help you to get a better understanding of your watch, and here are some very educated experts also that can share their observations and knowledge.

I don’t know a whole lot about these. Who did the engraving ? Omega or the MOD.

Ok. So only bezel is changed after the time of the auction then.
I posted a pic above under 10X of the BT area

I know some are saying the dial does not look correct, but why am I seeing many of the same variations from mil-spec pieces pulled off the net. All have same or similar dial traits to which seem to be concerning many here.

also, is it normal for the extract to date 68 production and the case back be engraved 69?

That’s why I asked who made the engraving. If it was done by the MOD it could have been anytime after they received. That’s probably why there’s some interest in whether Omega was supplied the case back info in the archive request, or whether they figured it out from there own archive, or possibly they knew the watch from the service in 2012.

so the questions is, is this dial not legit? do I need to contact the person I bought this from and contact the auction house?

From my research, everything seemed to be correct. However one never knows until people start pointing out small discrepancies

Well, I am no expert on the model, but if you paid a price commensurate with "stunning original condition", and it is already clear that the bezel is not original, I would be very concerned indeed. "Correct" is, of course, different from "original", and if you paid a premium for the latter, there is good chance that you will not receive it back on re-sale. The change does also raise other questions about the watch.

the bezel that shows in the auction listing isn't correct either right? looks to be a later variant?
