Classic combo I have an original 19mm (which is what they came in) and the gap always bothered me- so the new Forstner is welcome. They do tend to give the watch a lolipop effect with the skinny bracelet- big head, but it’s a look.
These bracelets are an acquired taste. To me there is too much 'stuff' going on, but they have their fans. For me it's hard to beat the new Omega bracelet that is on the 3861. @ninman , what's your initial impression of it?
My first impression is that it looks very cool, and it's very light and comfortable, but the clasp is a huge pain to take on and off. I'm starting to get better at it now, but it's super awkward. Like the first time I tried to take it off and put it on, it took me a good 15 minutes to do both.
The stock bracelet has the advantage of having a clasp that's easy to use, but the micro-adjustment "notch" bothers me a lot. They're both very comfortable to wear, and overall both look great, but the clasp on the Komfit is really awkward, and takes quite a bit of practice to be able to take it on and off quickly. In terms of look though, it's really just down to personal preference. Both are very comfortable to wear, and both look very good in their own way. They're also both historically accurate, in that the stock bracelet is a steel recreation of the gold bracelets on the BA 145.022 Speedies given to Astronauts and Nixon as gifts, and the Komfit is a reproduction of the bracelets that they wore to the moon. So, on balance, they're both good bracelets, but both have their weaknesses, and it really depends on what's important to you, but you can't really go far wrong with either of them.
I love this bracelet. It took me a while to get used to getting it on and off with a single hand but it was always very comfortable. FYI, you can get small H metallic replica calendars to put on the bracelet too: https://lunareplicas.com/collections/space-watches/products/2023-h-style-wrist-calendar-set
