Congrats. It is truly an amazing find!!! The watch is stunning by itself, and on top of that it has all the history that goes with it!
Ummm...yeah...I was going to ask where the Omega pad was...but didn’t...so I’ll do it now...so @Spacefruit, where’s the Omega pad?
Oh, gee whiz...that’s one of those trick questions, Captain Obvious. It’s needed for sanitary operations.
Thanks for sharing! It’s likely been said or alluded to in the last 5 pages of member drool, but it’s great getting to see collectors here (whom so many have respect for) find these pieces. We all benefit from it because @Spacefruit is so intent on sharing his passion free gratis. I’ve logged plenty of hours on his site and reading through his auction watch reviews and updates. I’ve got to drive up and buy you a beer when you stop off in Jackson some time. Enjoy your watch
Amazing find. That's a first time for me to see a truly complete set and untouched watch. Those sharp edges of the lugs can literally cut one's finger. Congrats William
That is a stunning watch. It’s incredible that there are true full sets like this still around after all these years. Will members of this forum get all excited when they find an 1861 Speedy with its original ‘suitcase’ box with bits and bobs in 2070?!? The fact that the original owner truly prized the watch as demonstrated by his keeping all the paperwork, paraphernalia, etc. also makes it a stand-out.
@rob#1 make that the year 2069 ( 100 years Apollo 11 ) and yes some people still keep really everything they got with their watch, while others, like me, toss all the paperwork and stickers into the bin... But indeed this EW is an amazing find, a true little time machine !
