Question on the new Ed White bracelet….

I have my eye on a new Ed White, but I live in an area where there are dramatic swings in both relative humidity and temperature.

In the past, with the older, typical Omega bracelets, this has never been a problem because of the multiple adjustment options located in the clasp. But, the new Ed White bracelet has only two holes.

So, my question; for those who have had experience with this bracelet (or other, new watches whose bracelets have limited adjustability), has this been an issue? Going from Winter to Summer, do you have to add or subtract links because you can’t get the fit right otherwise? Thanks.

I have an 1861 with the older 2 hole adjustment bracelet. I had to buy a 1/2 link to get the fit right, but I dont feel the need to adjust for summer or winter. I am in Chicago, where we equally dramatic swings.

I have to use the micro adjustment on my 3861's a couple times a day it seems like. I always like it just a little loose.

I just got the new 321 and the bracelet is beautiful and not very adjustable. It is lazy on Omega's part not to have more adjustability on this bracelet.

You may have already known this but I added a third micro adjust hole to my Apollo 11 bracelet clasp for exactly this reason. I use the additional hole pretty regularly.

If you have a good, experienced Jeweler near you they should be able to do this for you.

@Darlinboy also drilled extra holes:

It's ridiculous that Omega doesn't add extra holes to the clasp when they have the room for it.

Strongly agree. It also would have given that genuine vintage feel, considering how common it was to have a row of holes.

How does the 321 bracelet fit a small wrist? All but one link come out of my 3861s and the 321 is likely my next purchase.

Thanks, would you happen to have a picture? Would there have been room for additional holes if desired?

Yes!

I think you could go to 5 total holes without issue and it would look great.

I have a smaller wrist and it fits well. What size is your wrist? The lug to lug on the Ed White is slightly longer than the 3861.

I think they jumped the gun a little on the clasp, as they did when they first released the 3861. The Canopus Good 321 has a near identical bracelet; although the clasp has adjustment on the fly.

Should fit well.

I have 6.5 inches wrist, and wearing the 321 daily, allday without problem. The bracelet is so comfortable.

I have a 7 1/2" wrist and the EW321, and both of my 3861's, needed three links taken out to fit properly. I've lost some weight the past year and felt the watches were too loose for my liking so I took another link out of each, now they fit properly again. I never feel the need to adjust them once properly sized, so the half link adjustment built into these bracelets doesn't mean much to me.

The new FOIS bracelet is identical and fits 321 case. You gain the on-the-fly comfort release, you lose USD900 for that 1 button. Your choice! Good luck!

I am yet to change the bracelet setting since I sized mine a few years ago, it has been comfortable ever since. The relatively small link size means finding comfort is relatively easy.

That being said I also wear the Ed White reasonably often on leather, nato or a tropic.
