That's a fantastic "reference" watch if anyone ever needs to confirm the originality of another against it. Thanks for posting. And I agree with others, you truly deserve the pleasure and satisfaction that this watch is giving you after all your study and unselfish sharing of knowledge.

Best EW I´ve ever seen. Must be impossible to find a better one.

How do you feel now, when there are no need anymore to search for, or look at, that reference? A feeling of emptiness? 😁

Amazing find! I can see why you would make room in the collection for it, short of giving it its own room in the house. It is stunning!

This is the one that has knocked out the rest of my Ed Whites...]

Super example and worthy of your collection! A very high bar. 😉

Enjoy that beauty. 👍

£66 in 1969. That’s about £1100 in today’s money! So relatively cheaper than a modern day brand new Speedmaster.

It looks fantastic William. Thanks for sharing. Definitely worthy of being a safe queen.

Omega called the 145.003 the ‘moon watch’ in july ‘69? Cheeky 😀

And how did they now they will really make it? Pricelist of July 69 was printed earlier I guess?

Nevertheless, congrats on that fantastic piece!

I’ve never seen anything like it. Absolutely amazing. Like you said, the full set, hand written card, receipt etc. give such value to a watch like this because it confirms the originality.

The other thing about this crazy hobby is that I am sure one of us here has a better one

Unlikely. When Plato spoke of his "ideal forms," he probably had this Ed White in mind. Fabulous, and of course, so well deserved.
