Has anyone considered this wire may have been an Omega-Lemania prototype? The first effort to simplify and economize the caliber 321 movement that ultimately resulted in the development of the caliber 861?
😉

I like your thinking! 👍 How do we know it isn't the 'rarest of the rare' Ed White' '63's?
Please note there is a visible part missing on movement on right side where a "wire" is. Thanks

That is a fair description 👍

The watch is guaranteed 100% authentic Omega

99% the wire did not come from Omega ( me just being a smartarse )
I am so very glad he said that 😀. Much thanks, again, to Al @Archer for identifying and educating!

No more surprises😲 (except maybe, once a watch-maker is able to start looking deeper!🍿)

So just to point out the issue here with the missing parts, here is what the minute counter jumper parts should look like on a Cal. 321:
Thanks for the pics Al.

There are 4 parts in total for this assembly including a screw, spring, and 2 pieces for the jumper itself. Here in the watch that was returned, these 4 pieces have been replaced with a piece of wire:

Cheers, Al

I had the same problem on a Seamaster cal 320 out of Italy. My jury rigged spring was apparently glued on !
Can you beleive I missed this in the ad pic !
I did not return the piece as a friend luckily had the correct part !

I missed it in the ad pic of mine, too 😲.

In addition, mine didn’t run as it was advertised, the seller wasn’t willing to step up to cover appropriate service costs, and the whole thing ‘stunk’ at that point, so I returned mine. The seller has since been banned from selling on this forum... 👍

I’m glad yours turned out OK 😀!

Thanks for the pics Al. The watch actually had a full service and has run well since.
