I just got this back from service and since I don't see them very often I thought I'd show it off a bit.

This is the watch my mom bought for my father before they got married circa 1975. As you can see it has been well loved and worn daily for decades, from night shifts as a nurse to welding in the car shop. This guy was not babied at all but held up strongly, and he carries the scars to prove it. Then —lucky me— my dad decided that he prefers to wear the Citizen Eco-Drive his coworkers got him when he retired so gave this to me.

I talked to a few watchmakers here in SF until I found someone that seemed trustworthy and willing to take the job. After a nervous couple of weeks I am glad and relieved he is back and I think he did a good job (I should have taken pictures before).

And a new strap that I bought to celebrate his return home.

That's a classic, and one of the coolest watches of that era. Your mom has excellent taste. Your dad, well... he must really like his co-workers. ;)
    Wear it in good health.
