Greetings all. Happy to be here. I am sorry to say I do not currently own an Omega. I sold my 1950s seamaster about 10 years ago. The watch repairs shop quoted me approx $300 for repair if they could find the parts. I let it go on ebay for less than $200. Sellers remorse is now intensified by the amazing increase in the worth of such a watch. My shopping experience to become a proud owner again has me worried about frauds and fakes. Where better to seek advice about my selection process. Thank you all in advance for your assistance.

Welcome.. a wealth of knowledge on OF. So watch prices have risen and repair costs have not decreased. Are you now willing to spend $300 on a service and buy a watch?
