·Someone was keen and optimistic. Went for US$960.50.

The seller confirmed in an email to me that the watch had a hack mechanism which seems to indicate that there was a Railrouter in the tin. I wondered if the dial was honest in saying "Chronometer" (sic) even if misspelled and did put in a late bid but decided not to take a risk and end up paying over the odds.
If the successful buyer is one of us I hope we will learn more when the caseback is removed.
The seller stated Worlwide shipping followed by a list of exclusions that reads like a roll-call of the UN.
