Gotta thank @MikeMan2727 for tipping me off to this one. I've never owned a UG before, and don't know where I can find more info on them, so any advice would be hugely appreciated. I'm not even sure what reference number this is or what the serial number is (is there a date look up?).

What I do know about this watch is that it houses a caliber 1200 manual wind movement and the case measures 35 mm without the crown. While the crown is marked, I'm not sure that it's original to the watch, but the tone of the rose gold is exactly the same. The inside caseback is marked UG and 18K. I had posted another thread concentrated on the font type - but now that I have it cleaned up, I thought i'd post more photos.

Any extra information you guys might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated! Here are some photos. Thanks for looking.

Nice looking watch! The watch looks good and in original condition.

Serial numbers can be linked to the date of manufacturing (see the chart below). So your serial number is the top one 2081891 which corresponds to 1959-1960. The other number 112 313 2 is the case reference number. Each number has a meaning but I'm at work and I can never remember what they stand for. I'll get back to you or someone else will chime in soon.

Thanks for the replies. Thank you @Jonatan for that super useful chart.

@Carlton-Browne that's a very interesting link. I see the 128 hammerhead mark on the inside case back. I also see it listed in the table you linked.

From what I gather this was a case made by Jung and Cie, who was actively registered to make gold cases from 1934 until 1966? I'm trying to find information on them, but not finding much. Is there anything in particular that's interesting about this case maker for UG?

Also trying to find information on the reference number but Google is coming up with non related hits. Is there a UG case reference database that might give more information?

Also, it's a little worrisome that I'm already browsing UG chronographs 😀

Chrono are the deep end of a very heated pool and you just bought a watch that will set your UG quality standard forever. Make sure you vet what you are considering here and save up. There are no bargains anymore and lots of questionable watches out there.
