My first post, and some questions regarding my Omega Speedmaster

Hey Guys! 馃榾

I'm new here, and I am excited about learning and discussing watches! I'm pretty new to the watch game, been at it for about a year.

Anyway, I have some questions regarding my Omega Speedmaster Reduced.

Background on the watch:
One of the previous owners said that it had been laying in a drawer for about 20 years, so i'd like your guys' opinion on the watch.

I believe it is a 175.0032 cal. 1140.

The watch has a gold/champagne dial but I think the watch originally has a black dial. because the bezel and crowns is silver.

Questions:
- What model/year do you think it is?
- What color combo is original?
- Is it hard to acquire new hands and dial if I want to make it look original again?

Well it's an AUTOMATIC version which is a lookalike of the 1983 to 1986 Steel & Gold manual wind 861 movement version, although the manual winding version had silvered subdials...

Echo this. Have it serviced, but not by Omega. Do not replace the hands, do not polish the case or bracelet.

The vintage database indicates the 1040 and 1043 movements used had 45 jewels, vs the 46 in the photo.

And agree the lack of gold pushers, crown and solid gold bezel all point to this not being an original watch.

Do you have a photo of the inside of the caseback? And more of the movement?

Yeah, I just went to an AD and they could order and install golden pushers and crown for me, so I'm thinking about doing that.

Comparing to Tourneau reference it would seem you also have incorrect (non-two-tone) bracelet but maybe both were offered?

FWIW I鈥檇 also leave and enjoy as is. Given the gold dial I think the tone-down with more stainless is attractive. That said, I understand the desire to get things correct 馃憤
