I appreciate all the info on this forum, really outstanding. I began looking for a vintage seamaster, but ended up with a brand new FOIS! It arrived today and I just put it on. Cheers!

Very nice! Congratulations! Out of curiosity - what are the first two digits on the serial - am wondering how high we’re getting these days.

Man, they are really cranking these out. Makes the two previous CK2998 cased LE's of 2,998 pcs each seem rare.

Did the rules change? I thought we were supposed to buy crappy redials first, then learn lots before getting something nice.

Congratulations! I bought my first (Speedmaster pro) last Sept and have worn it every day since. Love it more today than when I bought it.
I am sure you will enjoy your watch just as much.

Also learned a lot about watches before and after the purchase from the forum. Hats off to everyone who takes the time to post on the forum to educate and entertain us all!

Nice! Love this piece and looks especially good on the leather. Itching to get myself a Speedy Pro, but I should stop buying stuff.

It’s my first Omega, but not my first watch ;-)

What a cracker for a first Omega. I’ve had my eye on the FOIS for a while but waiting for the AD to open up to try it on in the flesh.

Not really. The FOIS was released in 2012 and Omega has only got up to like 14,000 based on the number the OP posted.

I really like the leather strap look. It's still stiff but will get more comfortable with wear. It's lighter than I expected, so maybe I'll oil it to darken it someday. Besides the bracelet, what straps do you like with it?

Don’t oil it! It will darken to a lovely color with just a few days wear on a humid summer day. I oiled a $$$ strap thinking the same thing and it turned out poo brown.

The 39.5mm Planet Ocean straps will fit the FOIS. The black rubber strap on the 39.5mm Deep Black Planet Ocean looks nice on the FOIS. Someone posted a picture on the forum awhile ago.

I put the Speedmaster Racing rubber strap with a deployant clasp on my FOIS.
