I’m currently in Thailand on an extended holiday, and came across this Triple Date in blue. Manufactured in 1998, I know next to nothing about Omegas but it’s really caught my eye…I was originally looking for a 2017 Seamaster 300 ceramic bezel.

The shop is asking $2,500

Opinions?

I love mine. They are not super valuable, but it's my favorite speedmaster of the five I have.

How is the accuracy, given that it’s an older watch?

Pretty good, I only set it when I change the date and it's never off by more than a minute +/-. But mine has been recently serviced. That's the only problem with these, a service cost half the value of the watch.

Gorgeous watch, but nearly impossible to read in the sunlight or dim light because the hands disappear was my experience so I replaced it with the mk40 Cosmos. Actually, I prefer the MK40 to my Moonwatch because of the complications. The mk40 also retailed a bit higher than the Moonwatch when sold new too in the US.

Iv'e never found mine hard to read. My FOIS on the other hand, is nearly impossible. Still gorgeous though.

The only problem I find with my MK40 is I sometimes change the date instead of altering the time, which means a whole year of winding to get back to where we should be. I swapped my Speedy Pro as I found it a bit too big on the wrist. The MK40 is ideal and looks very cool too, I think I've found my forever watch.
